So this is the first post. Time to get back in Xanga mode. I doubt many people will read this. But it's definitely a nice break from all the other sites I am a part of, so if you do happen upon this little site, and actually read stuff......kudos to you.
First off, a tidbit about myself. One thing I enjoy more than anything is writing, so expect a lot of short stories, poetry and other various forms of literature. I also write music and do a solo acoustic act, here's a link: http://www.myspace.com/caseyhornernameinprogress. I don't really know how to describe it to you, nor could I name a musician I sound like, but thats just me.
Not to sound cliche, but music is a huge part of my life and has been for a long time. I was introduced to it at a young age (9 years old actually) thanks to my wonderful cousin, Jessica Crawford, and since then it's been a crazy journey, delving into all of the non-mainstream genre's that were introduced to me. Nowadays I mostly just listen to things that could fall into these categories: Folk, Acoustic, Experimental, New Weird America, etc. but I am known to listen to other things as long as it's somewhat intelligent and there is some passion there
I don't really know what else to say. I kinda sound like I'm front of the classroom on the first day of school, so I'm just going to end this with one of my old poems, enjoy.
"Epiphanies at 20, 000 Leagues"
I threw a fish in the ocean after removing its fins.
And as it lay in the sand watching everyone swim.
It pondered on every aspect of its life.

Realizing the balance was uneasy, he decided to drown himself.
As he held his breath, hallucinations appeared.
A haloed earthworm approached him an said,
"Do not repent, you were meant for pure oxygen."
He then exhaled and the worm blurred into a hooked string baited with a rose.
And as i reeled him in he began to laugh.
Laughing so hard he grew legs.
At the first breathe of fresh air, he grew wings.
He approached me and said,
"Thank you for giving me meaning, now i must find my place."
He kissed my forehead, looked up at the sun and began to cry, for now he knew his place.
He dug his toes in the dirt, began to run.
And flew off towards the sun.
Knowing he wasnt meant to be anywhere.
But just be beautiful for once.
A winged ball of fire.
